I am a second-year philosophy graduate student working in the overlap between American Pragmatism and Feminist Philosophy. I’m interested in understanding how one forms their self, or their identity in engaging with their environments from a metaphysical standpoint and analyzing the consequences from a feminist perspective. For instance, what is the role of habits that play into the self? Do these habits constrain one’s autonomy? How does an organism with a web of habits constituting the self respond to a complete change in one’s environment?

Where we are:

"The boundary-line of the mental is certainly vague. It is better not to be pedantic, but to let the science be as vague as its subject."
